Thought in the night IV - On Good company
By Luke Hsieh

Part 1 - To the stars

A good company;
Is it a possibility?
To locate in the chambre: Fill with faces and wonder;
Someone deserves such a name?

A good company;
Is there such a thing in existence?
Or if there is what quality
Would I expect in insistence?

Perhaps a pair of eyes sparkling unceasingly:
In an intelligent tolerant of unheard wisdom?
Then stars be my guide to such a search among infinity:
Someone with eyes gently sparkles in the night and never should boredom
Again be stand on the way of the good company.

Yet, if heaven ever render me such a person,
Should I not be afraid of those eyes sparkles in the night?
For they may touch the untouchable spot by simply reckon
With those stars on either side of the nostril shines bright,
And all my little secrets unveil in front of this person,
This gentle company with wit of the stars bright.

Part II To the prelude.

Then should the good company be as harmonious as twenty four preludes?
Everything spoken should be so palatable as to heal the world or allude
Us to either the biblical paradise or classical Elysium?
And thereby guide me to my dreamy fancy delirium,
Most gently,
Most sweetly,
The tune of the prelude will calm me to sleep,
With tears of peace while I indifferently weep,
Without course,
Without reason,
Just the voice of the gentle prelude,
And the endless possibility it alludes,
Allude to everything,
Allude to nothing.

Part III to Viennese waltz

Be my company elegant tunes with grace,
Mindless orderly tempo flowery trace,
Crystal champagne fine festive faces,
Pleasure in excess as to permit a race:
Of the gentlest couple in this flowery dance,
Leave bothers and sorrows to the musical trance,
Oh, how I wish my company be Viennese waltz,
Frivolously elegant and elegantly frivolous,
A harmless flirt with majestic taste,
Mutual grin upon partners; heart paste,
Pleasures doubles upon ephemeral,
Five minutes something will secure it all,
And so were my company fair as the Austrian dance,
Temporal ecstasies exit as soon as entrance,.
So, were good company more loyal to me,
Endless pleasure it would be.
.
Part IV to mountains

A loyal friend standing still,.
Highest mountain lowest hill,
Yet shall my friend steadily bound,
Neither move nor make a sound,
You're majestic beauty cold,
Your fairness should my eyes hold,
Yet what good is this silent gal,
With no sound to heal my gall?
Perhaps your pleasing face alone,
Will take my wound and charge it none,

Part V - Conclusion

So is there someone with taste of the stars,
Speech like the gentle Preludes far,
Flirt gently as Viennese thrill,
Steadfast loyalty of a hill,
Let me have a day with such a company sweet,
Then willingly I to die under her feet.
